Made a pitstop from Massachusetts to New York to enjoy some pizza. One of the most delicious pizza i've had in a while. Definitional would recommend it.

This spot gives great service and enjoyable menu. One of my favourite places ever. The meals arrived quickly and the rates were economical. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I usually drive to East or New Haven for pizza, but just wanted convenience last night so tried Red Tomato. I’m sure the owners are very nice and they have a quite respectable business but, this isn’t New Haven pizza as they claim. It some how tasted more like Chinese food. (got a large sausage, onion, mushroom). Crust was acceptable in texture but something went awry in the toppings, I think it was the sausage. Normally you’d expect to find chunks of Italian sausage but this was a fine grained meat of some kind that I think flavored the pizza in the wrong way. To be fair, the white clam pie was fine. Pizzas were absolutely edible, but it just didn’t taste like the pizza that I’m used to from either Modern, Minervini, or Pepe’s. I would ask the owners; just get a pie from one of those and figure out what’s going on.

I was born in New Haven near Wooster Street and Pepe's pizza before moving to Guilford 40 years ago. The red tomato is by far among the best best pizza you'll get anywhere. We love the house special!

So overpriced, not even funny!!

I had never tastes their pizza but heard great things. I finally had a chance to get out after being cooped up for weeks during pandemic.... I finally get out and order a large pizza with 2 toppings... we were si excited. Smelled great... got it joke and it was so so salty...😩... literally we could only eat 1 and1/2 piece. Each the 3 of us. Had to dump. I have NEVER had s as pizza so salty and so ever cooked 😩. Such a disappointment.

This has always been my Favorite Pizza on the Shoreline. Worth the Drive--although they don't deliver. BEST pizza sauce & crust-Ever. Their crust has a taste like no other!Dined-in recently for lunch after a few yrs of only doing Pick-up; Service was quick! Younger Waiter/Cook was super nice. I ordered lasagna & a white clams casino pizza, which I now know a white pie is also great. ☆If you haven't been, you must try!

This is a great little pizza place. It has very delicious and original pizza, I absolutely love the crust. The dining area could be better, but I can excuse it. I appreciate the family friendly atmosphere, and the accommodating staff. My family always feels welcome here. I like their calzones as well, very nicely made. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and wants some good local pizza.

Best New Haven style pizza on the shoreline. In the winter time I go for the sausage and mushroom pie. In the summer months when the tomatoes are fresh I hopped 4 the margarita. And Any time and all the time the Clams Casino White is to die for. Fresh shucked clams!

Yo know your back home when the pizza kitchen smells charred and like cigarettes. I loved it. Delicious pizza, great to be back.

The best pizza in all of ct. perfect balance of crust and toppings, the crust is still crispy even in the middle of the pizza. (Most places overdo cheese and sauce so the crust and overall pizza is soggy in the center) but not Red Tomato. Never dissapoints

Best pizza ever... we go weekly. Service is very goood and the wait staff is very quick to greet us and seat us and take our orders. Just wish they had delivery. I would recommend them to everyone.

Possibly some of the best pizza anywhere; it never disappoints!! Try it with bacon and onion!!

Pizza is good, service is iffy.

One word for the pizza - BLAND! IT is not "New Haven style," at least not the old New Haven of Pepe's and Sallie's and the like. Like many of today's pizza makers, they don't use enough ingredients. The toppings are sparse, and they are not well seasoned. Also, they don't use SAUCE in their red pizzas, just crushed tomatoes, and if the tomatoes are not perfectly ripe and sweet, which they're usually not, you get a very bland pizza without much taste. Maybe many people don't know the difference, but if you have a pizza that is properly made with all the right seasonings and sauce, along with plenty of well-made and cooked toppings, you'll know the difference immediately. This place unfortunately does not make them.

It is a very good place to call in & pick up a 🍕 pizza I would definitely recommend it if you are in Madison .

Our family has been coming here for YEARS, we absolutely love this place. The pizza is fantastic and the staff is always incredibly friendly. It's a little off the beaten path and pretty small once you're inside, but I have never had to wait more than 10mins (and we usually come with quite a large crew). This is the number one spot for us to go to when we visit CT!

Small place with great feel.We liked the place, it feels small but cozy. Pie is good, crust thin and toasty with the right burnt. flavors were on point. We also had the wings and liked them a lot as well.Service is quick and friendly.Tried a bottle of wine that had a great price and we liked it.Will be Back.
